What to Expect at Your First Visit to Melot Chiropractic
If you’ve never been to a chiropractor before, you may have questions about what your first visit will actually be like. At Melot Chiropractic, we’ve designed our office to make the process simple, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door.
Whether you’re dealing with back pain, neck pain, an injury, headaches, muscle tension, or simply want to improve how you move, here’s what you can expect when you visit us.
A Warm Welcome From Our Team
Your experience starts when you walk through our doors. Our staff is friendly, welcoming, and ready to help you feel comfortable.
We’re also a kid-friendly and dog-friendly office, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your children along—and in many situations, even your four-legged family members are welcome.
While you’re here, enjoy a complimentary coffee, tea, or water.
We’ll Give You a Tour of Our Office
We don’t want you to feel like you’re being shuffled into a treatment room without knowing what’s happening.
During your first visit, we’ll give you a tour of our office and introduce you to the different treatment rooms and services we offer. We’ll explain the various treatment modalities available and how they may fit into your care.
Our goal is for you to understand what we do and why we’re recommending it.
We’re Transparent About Pricing
One of the things we believe strongly in at Melot Chiropractic is transparency.
Before we begin any procedures or treatments, we’ll explain what we recommend and what it will cost. You’ll know the price before we start, so there are no surprises at checkout.
If you have questions about the cost of a particular service or treatment, just ask. We’re happy to explain it.
Complimentary HydroMassage Before Treatment
Depending on your treatment plan, you can take advantage of our complimentary HydroMassage beds before your treatment.
The warm water massage can help relax the soft tissues and give you a chance to unwind before your chiropractic treatment or other therapy.
It’s a simple way to make your visit more comfortable while preparing your muscles and soft tissues for treatment.
Optional Complimentary Ice After Treatment
We also offer complimentary ice tables that can be used optionally at the end of your treatment.
If ice is appropriate for you, this gives you an opportunity to relax for a few minutes before heading back into your day.
What Treatments Do We Offer?
Every patient is different, so your treatment will depend on your symptoms, examination findings, goals, and individual needs.
At Melot Chiropractic, our services include:
- Chiropractic adjustments
- Spinal decompression
- Therapeutic massage
- Massage cupping
- Stretching and assisted stretching
- Chiropractic trigger point therapy
- Myofascial and fascia release
- Sports rehabilitation
- Soft-tissue therapies
- Other rehabilitative and therapeutic techniques
Rather than automatically giving every patient the same treatment, we’ll determine what makes sense for your particular situation.
Same-Day Treatment Is Available
If you’re coming in because you’re hurting, we understand that you may not want to wait several days just to be evaluated.
We offer same-day treatment and accept walk-ins, when availability permits.
That means you can come in, tell us what’s going on, get evaluated, and potentially begin treatment during that same visit.
What If You Need X-Rays or an MRI?
Sometimes chiropractic treatment isn’t the only thing you need.
As a fully licensed chiropractor, I can evaluate your condition and determine whether additional diagnostic testing or medical evaluation may be appropriate. When necessary, we can send you for X-rays, MRI imaging, or even blood work to help investigate what may be causing your symptoms.
If something falls outside the scope of chiropractic care, we’ll tell you and help you determine the appropriate next step.
How Long Does a Visit Take?
We know your time is valuable.
Most appointments at Melot Chiropractic take approximately 20–40 minutes, depending on what you’re coming in for and what treatment you need.
We aim to provide thorough care without unnecessarily keeping you at the office for hours.
Your First Visit Should Feel Comfortable and Straightforward
Visiting a chiropractor for the first time doesn’t have to be intimidating.
At Melot Chiropractic, our goal is to provide a comfortable environment, explain what we’re doing, be transparent about pricing, and give you access to a variety of treatment options—all while treating you like a person rather than a number.
If you’re dealing with pain or an injury and would like to see whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for you, we’re currently accepting new patients and offering same-day treatment and walk-ins.
Give us a call at 512-710-8106 or stop by Melot Chiropractic in Cedar Park.
We look forward to meeting you.
